Born from an idea of Remo Maracchini (owner of Hytek company), the book is a photographic “travel diary” that the creator undertook during his free time riding his Harely Davidson “Fat Boy” up and down the territory of the Province of Parma.
The title refers to the combination of the creator's passion for motorcycling and the “ancestral vocation” for the production of cured meats in the area. Below is the author's introduction, which perfectly sums up the intent of the publication.
“With this book I don’t want to affirm any cultural or artistic value. I simply want to pay homage to my wonderful land that I rediscovered thanks to the Fat Boy which is, in my opinion, the perfect symbol to represent it, as it embodies tradition and opulence.”
