Dodge Charger R/T '70 - Hot Wheels of the week

The 1970 Dodge Charger R/T model car undoubtedly represents the undisputed icon of muscle cars of that era. In the imagination of my generation (Generation X), it epitomizes the most desired automobile, complicit in the famous TV show The Dukes of Hazzard, where it becomes a symbol of freedom and rebellion against the authorities that the protagonists-the Duke cousins-defy in each episode.

Later, the Dodge Charger returns as a vehicle of rebellion in the hands of Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) in the first film of the Fast & Furious saga.

This version of the model, produced in 2011, is part of the first edition of the New Models series. It has a metal upper body, painted in classic orange, and features a white screen-printed band surrounding the rear of the vehicle, one of the distinctive elements of this car. Two white bands start from the windshield and descend to the hood, stopping near the protruding engine.

The lower body is made of orange plastic, while the interior, also made of chrome plastic, includes the engine emerging from the hood, as well as the front and rear of the model. Finally, the wheels are the classic 5-spoke black plastic (5SP), with screen-printed chrome details.
